We are expanding our innovative, award-winning team and currently seeking a Painter.
The role of the Painter is to ensure the painting of jobs is done to the highest standard and in line with O'Carroll Engineering (OCE) and client requirements. Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisors, the key responsibilities of this role are to ensure that the all paint jobs are carried out in line with scheduling requirements and to the standards and specifications required.
The Painter will work with the Paint Preparation and Recycling Operative in all paint and recycling activities which must be carried out in line with environmental and health and safety legislation and best practice. All OCE policies and procedures regarding paint and paint related ingredients are to be followed at all times.
Health and Safety is a priority in this role. All appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety instructions must be followed. In the event of a spillage of a hazardous or chemical material occur the Paint Preparation and Recycling Operative (or supervisor in his absence) will be the first point of contact.
Although the primary function of this role is painting, the Painter must remain flexible to assist in other general duties.
Main duties include:
* Gather and prepare jobs requiring painting
* Prepare paints and materials for jobs
* Loading and unloading materials
* Paint jobs as per specifications
* Use Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as required
* Report any safety concerns, particularly in relation to the storage and disposal of paints and chemicals, hazardous or otherwise.
* Accurately maintain paperwork relating to paints and works completed
* Ensure all projects are being carried out in line with OCE requirements
* Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and EN1090
* Partake in training as required and directed
* Record Positector readings as required
* Ad-hoc General Operative duties as required
Minimum requirements of Painter:
* Previous experience in painting, spray painting, paint preparation
* Experience in disposal and recycling of paint and paint related materials
* Willingness and ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Proven ability to multi-task
* Flexibility to move between projects
The Painter role requires a minimum of 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday including shift work. A reasonable level of overtime may be required to ensure the fulfilment of the requirements of this role.
