Job Description:
The primary objective of this role is to lead Research and Development teams in the execution of product development projects.
This position will specifically support the embolization portfolio, leading a global project across multiple sites, with a requirement for regular travel abroad.
* Manage and schedule resources, costs and budgets for assigned projects.
* Collaborate with physicians to gain deep clinical understanding and identify new unmet needs in clinical areas.
* Technical responsibility for all Research and Development activities assigned.
* Improve team processes and systems for quality and delivery of work.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required and 10 years' relevant experience are essential.
* Strong proven people management skills - a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a supervisory position leading and motivating talented engineers is desired.
* Proven project management skills.
* Good mechanical design, materials aptitude and understanding of engineering fundamentals with extensive medical device materials knowledge are required.
This location has been our European headquarters since 1996, starting out with labeling and distribution and steadily growing to include manufacturing, centralised customer support and collaborative product development.
