About the Role
Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager that is self‑starter, well‑organised, and possesses strong management skills. The role involves anticipating issues and developing appropriate contingency measures to deliver projects with integrity and excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple mechanical contracts simultaneously, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling from conception to completion.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure all projects meet client specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
Manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Support preparation of proposals and bids for new projects.
Implement cost and value procedures and produce accurate commercial reports to Senior Management.
Work closely with Directors and Site Managers to recommend strategies, identify potential risks or issues, and find appropriate resolutions.
Issue monthly progress reports for Senior Management/Directors.
Collaborate with Senior Management/Directors to meet business needs and foster productive partnerships with clients.
Candidate Requirements
Mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience as a Project/Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry.
Experience managing mechanical packages on life‑science or large‑scale semiconductor/Data‑Centre projects for an M&E contractor.
Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems, including design, installation, and operation.
Excellent project management skills: planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
Must be able to travel within Europe.
Full driving licence.
