Overview
John Sisk and Son are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our existing team, based in the Midlands.
The Document Controller will manage the Project Document Management system and digital field tools, implementing information management strategies and providing training and support to project teams and end users.
Responsibilities
* Manage and host information management system (IMS) / document management system (DMS) sessions for new users within the project team, either with groups or individually.
* Act as the main point of contact for support and coaching of project users of IMS / DMS programmes, including third parties such as client teams, designers, and subcontractors.
* Develop project file naming protocols with the information systems manager and project team, in line with DPD protocols.
* Develop workflows alongside ISM and manage them throughout the project lifecycle, with guidance from the project team, in accordance with Digital Project Delivery (DPD) procedures.
* Create forms and tasks in line with DPD procedures and site requirements.
* Configure and implement change control processes.
* Validate, check, and curate all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including receipt, classification, verification, registry, distribution, and retrieval.
* Configure and prepare status reports on workflows, sample submissions, TQs, RFIs, and other reportable data.
* Prepare and configure distribution matrices to meet project requirements.
* Establish and maintain central site files, uncontrolled drawings, and registers.
* Compile operation and maintenance, health and safety, quality, environmental, and BCAR files.
* Attend meetings to engage with the team and stakeholders.
Experience
* Experience working on projects with large volumes of data and information from various sources.
* Advanced experience with Common Data Environments and Digital Field Tools.
* Ability to effectively communicate and educate stakeholders on DPD protocols, ensuring strict adherence.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams and client teams.
* Experience engaging with subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
* Understanding of naming conventions in accordance with ISO 19650.
Qualifications
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of BS 1192, PAS 1192, or ISO 19650 standards.
* Advanced experience with VFP, FV, or similar platforms.
