Role Description
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to join the Employee Managed Service (EMS) team at EPI-USE.
As a Payroll Manager within our EMS Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for our Republic of Ireland (ROI) clients. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery, while serving as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries. This role involves close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.
A key focus will be driving process improvements, maintaining business continuity plans, and ensuring best practices are followed in line with company policies. You'll be expected to uphold confidentiality, stay current with ROI payroll legislation, and ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations. Knowledge of other European payrolls is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Specialist within our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centre, your responsibilities will include:
· Managing payroll processes for multiple clients within a BPO environment.
· Processing payroll using SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Control Centre and Employee Central Payroll.
· Efficiently addressing and resolving complex payroll-related queries, discrepancies, and errors.
· Leading the transition of new clients to BPO, including knowledge transfer, user acceptance testing (UAT), parallel runs, and successful Go Live execution.
· Staying informed on ROI and UK payroll legislation, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, while proactively monitoring and advising on Irish-specific legislative changes.
· Supporting EMS Management with ad hoc projects as required.
· Ensuring clients' payroll practices comply with legal standards.
· Developing and enhancing EMS training materials; delivering end-user training.
· Ensuring compliance with Revenue for all payments processed.
· Preparing and delivering agreed payroll reports.
· Regularly testing and updating Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to mitigate risks and maintain service quality.
· Maintaining excellent client satisfaction and strong working relationships.
· Collaborating with the Application Management Service (AMS) team to resolve payroll-related queries, support system upgrades, and conduct regression testing.
· Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
· Working closely with the Lead Payroll Manager and Payroll Specialists to streamline operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
· A payroll-related qualification (e.g. IPASS or equivalent) – desirable.
· years of experience processing ROI payroll (BPO experience is a plus).
· Strong knowledge of ROI payroll legislation, tax regulations, and pension auto-enrolment (EMEA payroll experience is desirable).
· Experience developing and implementing Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for payroll operations.
· Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Experience managing and motivating payroll teams – desirable.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Experience with SAP Payroll and/or SuccessFactors is advantageous.
