Employment TypePermanentLocationRole ProfileWe are currently looking for an experienced Investment Analyst to join the Investment Analytics and Reporting team at Mediolanum.The Investment Analytics and Reporting team are responsible for preparing critiques and insights into target portfolios, having a clear position analysis on all target funds.In this role, the successful candidate will work directly with Portfolio Managers to scenario test and to assess risk across portfolios ensuring there are tolerances. You will also support in the process of ensuring the right Performance Measurement & Portfolio analysis tools, people and processes are in place to support portfolio critiques.This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a vibrant, high-performing team at a leading asset manager based in Dublin.DutiesOversee the Performance attribution and Portfolio analysis management software tools with a view to improve the sophistication of the data integration.Provide critiques and insight about the performance of target portfolios from analysing numbers, market knowledge and using tools to complete risk management and scenario testing.Present critique and insight at committee level regarding Portfolio analysis.Use visually representative tools to create data that is consumable by portfolio managers.Work closely with Portfolio Managers to improve understanding of portfolios and risk scenarios.Build out and oversees the Performance Measurement and Portfolio Analysis team.Skills & CompetenciesAbility to interact with all stakeholders at various levels to ensure efficient delivery of business requests.A working knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft BI.Qualifications & ExperienceA Bachelor’s Honours or Masters Degree in Finance, Business, Quantitative Finance, Engineering or Risk Management.At least 5 years experience providing portfolio analysis and related reporting directly to front office investment personnel, preferably at an asset manager. (Flexibility with experience for the right candidate).Experience with one or more of Bloomberg PORT, Style Research, Morningstar, MSCI risk analytics, or MYSIS Fusion Invest is a distinct advantage.Knowledge of financial markets, exposure to different asset classes and securities via different instruments.Knowledge or experience with scripted languages (e.g. R, Matlab, Python) and data science exposure is also required.Understanding of requirements under different regulatory regimes, including Solvency II, UCITS & MIFID is advantageous.Pursuing certifications such as CFA, CAIA, FRM or CIPM is a distinct advantage.Applications Close Date
