The Role:
We are searching for a dynamic, proactive, high-energy person to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that financial and operational excellence prevails across all aspects of the business while working on improving MI insights available to Management.
The position is based at the company’s head office in Belfield Office Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin with 4 days (Monday to Thursday) in the office and remote working on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable - Managing the Accounts Payable function which involves posting invoices to the Group financial accounting package (Xero), reconciling trade creditors, making payments and monitoring invoices to ensure proper cost control
* Account Reconciliations - Manage the weekly reconciliations of the Group bank accounts and report on cash balances
* Month End – you will assist in the preparation of the monthly Group Management Accounts and will be involved in the month end processes which will involve posting journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations
* Audit – Assist in the annual statutory audit process
* Funding – You will be responsible for the production and updating of Portfolio Datatapes for potential funders and investors. You will take part in internal and external meetings and be responsible for ensuring accurate minutes and actions are recorded and actioned
* Management Information – You will play a key role in ongoing production, enhancement and delivery of Management Information to the business. You will work closely with the tech team to increase the automation and efficiency of MI. Prior experience of Quicksights, PowerBI or Tableau a distinct advantage
* Ad-hoc projects as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* The ideal candidate will have a third level business degree and 2 to 3 years’ experience working in a Finance environment. MI and data analysis experience would be advantageous but not essential. You may have already started your professional accounting exams or have an interest in doing so
* Will have strong time management skills and have an ability to be flexible, prioritise their work, work to deadlines and ensure queries resolved in a timely manner
* Highly numeric with a razor-sharp attention to detail is critical
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentational skills with an ability to handle queries in a professional and timely manner
* Show a high level of commitment, professional work ethic and is ambitious
* Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
* An ability to question and improve processes and use software where necessary to do things more efficiently
* Interested in innovation and tech
