Principal Software Engineer (Python Kubernetes AWS)
Principal Software Engineer opportunity to play a key role in building a high end SaaS product. Growing, global business with a large enterprise customer base. The company is on a trajectory towards an IPO and offers equity as part of the package.
This is a genuinely ambitious product – you will be joining a high calibre team of software engineers in a senior, influential Principal Software Engineer role. Collaborate with Engineering Directors on technology strategy and architecture, set engineering standards for the org, and solve their most challenging software engineering problems.
This is a back end focused principal software engineer role – the applications will be cloud based (AWS), using Python, Kubernetes, and REST APIs to integrate with other systems. This is a data heavy system, processing huge volumes of customer data in real time in the cloud. Experience with AWS cloud based databases (RDS, Snowflake, DynamoDB or similar) will be useful.

The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background, with a track record of delivering software as a Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, Architect or similar. Experience building data heavy applications on AWS is essential, and ideally experience with python and kubernetes.

Skills / experience
10 – 15+ years’ software development experience, with solid experience as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer or similar
Strong back end software engineering skills
Experience building high performance, enterprise scale software with a strong data component (ETL, Data Ingestion, Cloud based databases, etc.)

€110,000 – €130,000 DOE
