Job Description:
Caring for individuals with all activities of daily living in a residential setting is a rewarding role that enables service users to live independent lives in line with HIQA national standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Empowering service users to take control of their lives and live independently.
* Transporting service users to facilitate access to daily living activities.
* Participating in household duties such as cooking, laundry, general cleaning, and shopping.
* Maintaining professional communication and relationships with colleagues.
* Awareness of safe working conditions and implementing safe work practices immediately reporting potential hazards, incidents, and concerns.
* Engaging positively and actively in team meetings, supervisions, training, and team events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Relevant QQI qualification within the healthcare sector - minimum level 5.
* Age 18+.
* Full clean manual driving license and access to own transport.
* Excellent command of spoken and written English.
* Knowledge of HIQA standards.
* Work or student experience in social care or relevant sector.
