Role Description
Derrycourt Cleaning Specialists is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Quality & Compliance Manager to lead our Quality, Compliance, and Safety functions across the organisation. This senior role is responsible for shaping, implementing, and enhancing our Quality Management Systems, Compliance Framework, and EHS Governance to ensure excellence in service delivery across both Derrycourt operations and client sites.
The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to senior leadership, oversee regulatory compliance, maintain ISO accreditation standards, and drive continuous improvement through robust auditing, risk management, and structured performance monitoring. This position plays a crucial role in supporting diverse sectors—including healthcare, pharma, food production, industrial, retail, and GxP/GMP-compliant environments
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on risk, non-conformance, compliance obligations, and service quaity.
• Lead and develop the Quality Assurance, EHS, and cross-functional compliance support eams.
• Drive organisational alignment by collaborating closely with Operations, HR, ESG, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other key deparments.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level reporting to ensure accountability and performance visbility.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external regulatory bodies, auditors, clients, and government gencies.
• Lead the continued development and adoption of Derrycourt's Compliance Management Framework to ISO 37301 tandards.
Regulatory & Compliance overnance:
• Lead the implementation and governance of Derrycourt's compliance policies, procedures, and compliance managemen framework.
• Ensure compliance with national and international regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations (HSE, HIQA, HPRA, FDA, ISO, MDR, GxP/GDP/GMP, Data Pivacy etc.).
• Manage investigations of alleged compliance breaches and ensure consistent and fair handling across theorganisation.
• Oversee supplier and contractor vetting, onboarding, and regular compliance reviews, including ES requirements.
• Monitor, audit, and track non-conformance trends, ensuring timely CAPA responses and
reporting to seior leadership.
• Support regulatory inspections and act as the organisation's primary regulatory liaison.
Qality Management:
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (ISO9001), supporting all
operational and hea office functions.
• Oversee Quality Audits aligned with HACCP, HIQA, BRC/Tesco, JLC, GMP/GxP, and other ndustry frameworks.
• Drive integrated quality strategies for new client onboarding, service delivery, and cstomer satisfaction.
• Oversee CAPA processes, customer fee
dback review, and rootcause investigations.
• Lead and maintain an effective
Document Management andChange Control System.
• Ensure quality compliance and performance from third-party suppliers, product, and service
partners.
Environmentl Health & Safety (EHS):
• Oversee all EHS programs, policies, and systems in line wth ISO14001 and ISO45001.
• Lead a proactive safety culture focused on risk reduction, incident preventio, and employee well-being.
• Ensure delivery of risk assessments, method statements, safety statements, COSHH/CARA assessments, emergency plans, and relevant operaional safety documentation.
• Oversee trend analysis of EHS data, audits, and root cause aalysis to drive improvement.
• Provide leadership support to the EHS Advisor / QC Auditor, ensuring operational safety systms are delivered effectively.
Training, Engagment & Performance Management:
• Champion a company-wide culture of uality, compliance, and safety.
• Lead and deliver compliance, safety, and quality trining (directly or through L&D).
• Build and manage a high-performing auditing team with lear competencies and objectives.
• Manage audit planning, frequencies, and workload distriution across the QA and EHS teams.
• Support ESG adoption and compliance with supplier, contractors, and client partners
Minimum Requirements (Essential):
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Facility Management, Quality Management, Compliance, Environmental ealth & Safety, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification in Compliance (.g., Professional Certificate/Diploma).
• Lead Auditor certifications in ISO7301, ISO9001, ISO14001 and/or ISO45001.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations, including Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation, environmental obligations, risk assessments, incidet management, and EHS management systems.
• 5–7+ years' experience in Facility Management, Pharma/Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Food Maufacturing, or similar regulated industry.
• 5+ years' experience in Compliance Management, Compliance Auditing, and Monitoring within an ISO37301 framework or equivalent.
• Strong applied experience in GxP/GMP/GDP, Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ISO s
tandards, regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, HPA, MDR), and cleanroom or hygiene standards.
• Proven experience developing Compliance Policies, Quality Management Systems, and Conformance/Assurace programs across a m
ulti-site organisation.
• Strong knowledge of ocument Control and Change Management systems.
• Understanding of ESG sustainability governance, reporting reuirements, and supplier compliance obligations.
• Proven track record of working cross-functionally at senior level and supporting diverse functonal areas with regulatory and complince needs.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
• ISO2701 (Information Security Management) qualification.
• Lean Six Siga, Continuous Improvement, or simiar certification.
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
• Exerience with global or EMEA-level contract governance.
• Practical experience implementing EHS frameworks (ISO45001, ISO14001), conducting risk assessments, and ensurng operational safty compliance across multiple sites.
