Manufacturing Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in a low-volume, high-mix environment.

This is a practical, on-the-floor role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and driving improvements across both mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate closely with R&D, production, and procurement teams to introduce new products, improve existing processes, and ensure our manufacturing systems run efficiently and safely.

* Work with R&D and Production teams to support prototypes and New Product Introductions (NPIs).
* Create and update Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures for all manufacturing tasks.
* Build and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) for new and existing products.
* Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure timely implementation.
* Act as a technical liaison with suppliers and support procurement on technical matters.
* Identify and implement product cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
* Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration schedules; coordinate external contractors when required.
* Participate in ISO and other regulatory audits; identify root causes for non-conformances and complete corrective actions.
* Lead assigned engineering and improvement projects across the manufacturing floor.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
* Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including turret punch, press brake, and welding.
* Understanding of electrical circuit drawings and specifications for cables, crimping, switches, and lighting.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and data analysis).
* Auto CAD Inventor experience is an advantage.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Benefits

As a member of our team, you can expect:

* A permanent role with a long-established Irish manufacturer.
* A collaborative and supportive team environment.
* The opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging products.
* A competitive salary and benefits package.
