Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (no shift work or weekends)
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead an Outbound General Operations team. This is a leadership role focused on overseeing outbound processes, managing performance, and ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of customer orders. You will play a key role in driving team productivity, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
7. Supervise, mentor, and support a team of warehouse operatives focused on outbound logistics.
8. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
9. Foster a positive and collaborative working culture.
Operational Oversight
10. Coordinate outbound activities including picking, packing, staging, and dispatch.
11. Ensure daily workflows align with business priorities and customer expectations.
12. Monitor staff allocation and adjust resources to meet order volumes and deadlines.
Performance & Quality Control
13. Track KPIs such as pick accuracy, order fulfilment rates, and productivity metrics.
14. Drive operational excellence by identifying performance gaps and implementing solutions.
Inventory & Systems
15. Support outbound stock accuracy and participate in cycle counts as required.
16. Utilise Dynamics ERP system and handheld scanners to manage stock movements and order processing.
Health & Safety
17. Promote and enforce all health, safety, and hygiene regulations across the warehouse.
18. Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with SOPs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
19. Work closely with Inbound, Transport, Customer Service, and Inventory teams to ensure smooth workflow.
20. Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve issues and improve service levels.
Experience & Qualifications
21. Minimum 3 years' experience supervising/managing a warehouse team, ideally within outbound operations.
22. Proven ability to lead and motivate staff in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
23. Strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety standards, and inventory control.
24. Comfortable using WMS and ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics) and handheld scanners.
25. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
26. Ability to interpret and act on performance data.
27. Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
