I’m recruiting a Manual QA Engineer on a contract basis for an established Irish technology company that builds high-volume, mission-critical platforms for the global racing and sports betting industry. This role is perfect for a detail-focused tester who enjoys working across complex systems and wants meaningful ownership within a busy delivery team.
What You’ll Do
Manually test web and mobile apps (iOS/Android), internal tools, and backend services
Validate integrations, data flows, and APIs across a hybrid Azure environment
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
Log and track defects using Jira and work closely with developers, product, and DevOps
Support release cycles via Azure DevOps
Spend ~20% of your time preparing structured test cases for future automation (Playwright/Selenium)
What You’ll Bring
3+ years’ manual QA experience across web/mobile applications
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and regression/functional testing
Experience with API testing (Postman/Swagger) and basic SQL
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Storage, and VM/AKS environments
Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills
Nice to have: Exposure to automation frameworks, CI/CD, Agile, or betting/financial systems.
