Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of new products from concept to prototype.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and proven ability to translate ideas into functional prototypes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical design efforts from concept to prototype.
* Develop 3D models and detailed design specifications using SolidWorks.
* Apply sound engineering judgment to define hypotheses, design tests, evaluate data, and iterate effectively.
* Conduct tolerance analysis and produce high-quality drafting documentation.
* Collaborate with junior engineers and technicians to drive project success.
* Define mechanical tests, prepare set-ups, guide technicians during execution and interpret results.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial).
* 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on New Product Development.
* Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in fluidics or infusion systems preferred.
* Ability to work independently and lead small teams.
* Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and prototyping.
* Experience in test planning and analysis.
* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
* Familiarity with regulatory and testing standards.
