Opportunity Overview
Executes day-to-day inventory & material management tasks at customer facilities, following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Tasks include receiving, inspection, inventory logging, proper storage, and timely distribution of inbound and outbound materials to end users. Problems and issues faced are generally recurring and solutions are typically known and/or prescribed. Examples are inbound shipments arriving with missing or damaged items, discrepancies between system records and physical stock, or items stored in incorrect locations, leading to inefficiencies in retrieval. More complex problems, like supply chain interruptions or system/software malfunctions, are solved by applying methods learned through experience and/or using available support. Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring some explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers.

Material Controller – Ringaskiddy
Full-Time | Onsite
Avantor is looking for two Material Controllers to join our team in Ringaskiddy, Cork on a full-time basis. You will be based in a laboratory-related environment, supporting scientific processes and ensuring smooth material flow to meet customer business needs.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Leaving Certificate completion or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Consistent work history in areas such as warehouse, inventory, retail, hospitality, or similar.
Additional Skills: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and familiarity with general warehousing terminology and practices.
IT Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Key Responsibilities
Handle and manage stock in compliance with GMP processes.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely stock replenishment.
Support laboratory operations by managing material flow and ensuring correct stock levels.
Process ad‑hoc material requests and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
Operate equipment and follow all site and regulatory requirements.
Perform routine administrative tasks related to stock control and compliance.
