Head of Compliance Hybrid Role Dublin Financial Services Background This is a senior compliance leadership role responsible for overseeing the organisations regulatory compliance framework, governance, and key control functions. The role ensures adherence to all relevant regulatory obligations while supporting strong risk management and embedding a culture of compliance across the business. Whats on Offer Senior leadership role within a growing regulated organisation Broad oversight across compliance, AML and governance Opportunity to shape and strengthen the control environment Responsibilities: Regulatory & Risk Oversight Provide guidance on regulatory requirements, support senior stakeholders and the Board on compliance matters, and ensure ongoing alignment with Central Bank of Ireland expectations and wider regulatory obligations, including AML/CFT requirements. Governance & Control Framework Oversee the compliance framework, including policies, monitoring and internal controls, ensuring appropriate governance structures are in place and operating effectively across the business. Regulatory Engagement & Leadership Act as a key point of contact for the Central Bank and other regulators, provide Board-level reporting, and lead on compliance culture, training and awareness across the organisation. The role also incorporates responsibility for key control functions including MLRO and Data Protection Officer (DPO) duties. Key Skills Required: Regulatory & Technical Expertise Strong understanding of Irish and EU financial services regulation, with particular exposure to AML/CFT and broader compliance frameworks, and the ability to apply regulatory requirements in a practical and commercial context. Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement Experience engaging with the Central Bank of Ireland and senior internal stakeholders, with the ability to operate effectively at Board and executive level within a regulated environment. Leadership & Control Function Experience Proven ability to oversee compliance and governance frameworks, manage control function responsibilities (including MLRO and DPO where applicable), and ensure strong risk-based decision making. Qualifications & Professional Credentials Relevant third-level qualification in Law, Business, Finance, Risk or related discipline, along with relevant professional compliance or governance qualifications.
