Our Team
Nua Healthcare's multidisciplinary team has a broad range of clinical professionals and therapists such as Clinical Directors, Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses from a psychiatric, intellectual disability and general trained background, Nurse Prescribers, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Behaviour Specialists, Dietitians, Psychotherapists, amongst many others who support our care pathways across Ireland.
The Role
We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Nua Healthcare and take a lead role in providing high quality, biopsychosocial informed care for a cohort of patients with mental disorder who reside in our Approved Centre in Cork.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To be familiar with and to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
2. To maintain the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy and national best practice guidance in the utmost interests for the Safety, Health and welfare for yourself, your colleagues, the individuals we support and any other individuals in so far as is reasonable and practicable.
3. Design and implement business strategies to assist the centre to realize business goals.
4. Oversee the centres compliance with legal policies, guidelines, and standards.
5. Ensure all departments have sufficient and qualified personnel.
6. Organize and run all patient care or administrative operations and programs.
7. Perform quarterly and annual employee reviews and provide feedback on their performance to help motivate their dedication to professional goals.
8. Promote advocacy for the rights of Individuals and also serve as an advocate for Individuals.
9. Monitor standards of care and assist in the development and implementation of nursing audits and subsequent action plans.
Skills Requirement:
Qualification: Full Registration (general and specialist) with the Irish Medical Council.
Qualification or higher degree: medical education, clinical research, or management.
Evidence of achievement: in education, research, audit and service improvement.
Knowledge: Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
Experience: Leadership and Senior management experience within a large organisation in either the public or private sector.
Skills:
* Excellent clinical skills using biopsychosocial perspective and extensive medical knowledge.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
* Ability to take a leadership role in various multidisciplinary team(s), ensuring high quality care.
* Ability to manage own time, workload and prioritise clinical work.
* Ability to appraise own performance as a Senior Leader and Consultant.
