Coimisiún na Meán is Ireland’s agency for developing and regulating a thriving, diverse, creative, safe, and trusted media landscape. As the independent media regulator, it oversees broadcasters, video-on-demand providers, and online platforms established in Ireland, supporting and developing the Irish media sector.
About This Role
The Platform Supervision and Investigations division supervises digital services in Ireland and enforces regulations like the Digital Services Act (DSA), Terrorist Content Online Regulation, and the Online Safety Code. It includes four supervisory teams, an Investigations team, and a Regulatory Operations team. The User Complaints team within this division handles complaints against service providers for alleged infringements of the DSA.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the progression of complaints and investigatory cases efficiently.
* Lead project planning, management, and scoping of work.
* Draft legal and case-related documentation.
* Assist in evidence collection and analysis.
* Support litigation processes and contribute to policy development.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies and the European Commission.
* Identify training needs and mentor team members.
Essential Criteria
* Level 8 or higher qualification in law, regulation, compliance, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of experience in regulatory investigations, complaints management, or trust and safety within the tech sector.
* Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with procedural law, regulatory compliance, Irish/European legislation, or digital policy enforcement.
* Knowledge of technology sector practices and legal drafting skills.
Key Information
* Permanent, full-time position (35 hours/week).
* 30 days annual leave, hybrid working arrangement (2 days in-office).
* Location: Dublin, Ireland.
* Salary: Assistant Principal scale, first point.
