About Veterinary Diagnostic Territory Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team in Ireland as a Veterinary Diagnostic Territory Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with veterinary customers to promote IDEXX's medical device diagnostics portfolio of products.
In this field sales role, you will engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions, and educational opportunities about what IDEXX has to offer. You will leverage your consultative selling techniques to translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions that leverage IDEXX's suite of products and services.
As a valued partner, you will help veterinary practices grow their diagnostic revenue by establishing meaningful relationships and communicating the true value of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage territory and customer base to increase recurring diagnostic revenue and attain quarterly medical device equipment sales.
* Collaborate with other sales professionals to close capital equipment and technology sales.
* Educate and train veterinary clinic staff on products, services, and marketing initiatives.
* Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to our marketing organization and business unit manager.
You will work closely with laboratory operations to ensure customer questions and service issues are satisfactorily addressed and resolved.
You will also present IDEXX values to customers in a professional manner, including an understanding of our industry, veterinary practice, customers, technology, operations, and processes.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend trade shows and other educational events in the region.
What We Are Looking For
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Three or more years of proven experience successfully managing your own sales territory.
* Territory management sales experience in the veterinary/animal health industry, human healthcare medical device sales, dental device sales, and/or prior capital equipment sales.
* Ability to work well with others in a highly team-oriented, collaborative sales environment.
* Flexibility to travel extensively by car, overnight if needed, as well as potential weekend work to attend tradeshows or other meetings.
This is a field sales role that requires comfort with going into veterinary clinics and hospital environments.
