**Job Description:**
The role of Financial Controller requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the overall financial management of both the Irish and UK businesses and the consolidation of both for monthly reporting to the parent company in Spain.
Key responsibilities include day-to-day financial management and analysis, budget preparation, forecasting, annual audits, internal controls and regulatory compliance. This includes cash flow management, working-in-progress (WIP) tracking, salary administration, debtor and creditor management, financial analysis and revenue recognition of turnkey projects, foreign exchange adjustments and banking relationships in both the UK and Ireland.
**Responsibilities:
* Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated accounts of UK and Ireland for reporting purposes
* Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
* Responsible for month-end and year-end close process
* Lead migration to new SAP ERP for both UK and Ireland operations
* Ongoing management of SAP ERP system
* Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, WIP and Revenue Recognition for UK and Irish businesses
* Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
* Manage and comply with legal reporting requirements and tax filings
* Manage business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
* Additional controller duties as necessary
**Qualifications:**
The ideal candidate will have a fully qualified accountant certification (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), previous experience in a similar position, including experience of providing Financial Control across a group of companies.
Required skills and qualifications include up-to-date knowledge of UK and Irish GAAP and IFRS, advanced Excel modelling skills, experience of operating in multi-currency environments, strong communication skills, ability to handle multiple varied activities, strong organizational ability and team player attitude.
