Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description
This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of supplied materials and components. The successful candidate will have experience in supplier qualification, auditing, and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform Supplier Qualification and Assessment Audits
* Schedule and conduct periodic audits to assess supplier compliance with Celestica & Customer requirements
* Support site teams by assisting with Customer & third-party audits
* Lead Part Qualification and drive RCCA's for Factory Supply Base covering BTP & non-BTP Parts
* Disposition of supplier nonconforming material through the Material Review Board
* Issue and timely closure for all critical supplier defects using Celestica SCAR/8D Tools
* Work with supplier & factory to contain/purge all non-conforming materials
* Monitor and communicate supplier performance
* Evaluate underperforming suppliers and develop improvement plans
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* 4-6 years of experience in a similar role or industry
* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* Strong knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
