The Royal Hospital Donnybrook Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist - Full-time 1.0 WTE (35 hours/week), Permanent The Royal Hospital Donnybrook provides rehabilitation services to adults across a range of areas including stroke and other neurological conditions, older persons in-patient general rehabilitation and Day Hospital outpatient. We also provide respite and residential care. The hospital is a voluntary, charitable organisation. Purpose of the Post: The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of Speech & Language Therapy services to patients across the hospital, particularly in the areas of stroke and neurological rehabilitation. He/she will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide a holistic, person-centred service to patients and residents, and will contribute to team quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance services. Essential Criteria: A professional Speech & Language Therapy qualification recognised by the Department of Health. Qualifications from abroad recognised by CORU. CORU registration. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Dysphagia Training. Experience in assessment, diagnosis and management of disorders of Eating Drinking Swallowing and Communication in older persons and stroke. An interest in areas of rehabilitation and residential care, particularly for older persons.
