Job Overview
Maintenance technicians play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless facility operations. Their responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment, including HVAC systems, clean utilities, grey utilities, and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily operations and maintenance tasks on HVAC, clean and grey utilities equipment
* Diagnose and resolve problems with utility systems and equipment
* Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation of systems and equipment
* Maintain records of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
* Switch from automatic to manual controls and isolate equipment mechanically and electrically
* Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and handling hazardous materials
* Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts
* Utilize Building Automation Systems (BAS) to monitor and inspect equipment
* Perform or arrange repairs, such as complete overhauls and fabrication of new parts
* Operate facilities equipment and auxiliary equipment to supply and maintain steam or heat
Requirements:
* Meet the National Craft Standard with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role
* Substitute additional relevant experience for educational requirements
