Test Equipment Engineer II
Support the Design Assurance Lab through the introduction, development and validation of test methods, equipment and automation solutions used in regulated product testing environments. The role focuses on improving lab capability, supporting new product development activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Design, procure, develop and validate equipment, fixtures and tooling used within the laboratory environment.
Develop basic test scripts and software programs to support automation of testing processes.
Collaborate with Operating Units and New Product Development teams to align on Test Method strategies and best practices.
Identify opportunities for new equipment and technology implementation to improve lab efficiency and capability.
Lead and support root cause investigations relating to test failures and equipment issues.
Drive problem solving activities and ensure corrective actions meet reliability and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in line with regulated industry requirements.
Support and coordinate Test Method Validation activities to ensure project timelines are achieved.
Assist team members with execution of project deliverables and coordinate associated activities across projects.
Requirements
Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience.
Experience working within the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment.
Experience with equipment design, verification and validation activities including IQ, OQ and related processes is desirable.
Experience using CAD software is desirable.
Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
Strong team player with the ability to work proactively across multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to support and mentor junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices.
Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.
Good organisational, presentation and project management skills are desirable.
