Cairn has a unique opportunity for a high-calibre Project Quantity Surveyor to assist in providing quantity surveying services for post-contract duties on a large-scale residential development. This site-based role is located in Seven Mills. We seek an experienced, motivated team player with strong commercial acumen who can contribute to the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with:
1. Managing subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, along with standard QS duties.
2. Experience with RC frame, apartment, residential building, and commercial projects.
3. Residential house building experience is essential.
4. Conducting monthly internal valuations and producing monthly cost reports.
5. Reporting on budgets and variations.
6. Maintaining subcontractor and supplier contractual details.
The Candidate:
* 7-10+ years of post-graduate experience in PQS or contractors' office.
* Ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
* Proficient IT skills, including Buildsoft, Cost-ex, or equivalent, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Willingness to attend training and develop relevant skills and knowledge.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to present findings.
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate.
* Good at working with people at all levels and team-oriented.
* Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently.
* Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
* Willing to accept responsibility for assigned tasks.
