This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of digital banking for large organisations in Ireland.
You will tackle the primary challenge of guiding complex, transformative digital projects from inception to successful delivery, elevating the human experience through innovative solutions.
This position provides significant leadership opportunities, allowing you to lead client engagements, mentor high-performing teams, and directly influence strategic initiatives that redefine how our banking clients operate and serve their customers.
Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position (The What) To excel in this role, you will possess extensive Agile delivery experience, specifically leading the implementation of large-scale programmes that foster project success and team collaboration.
You will have end-to-end experience across the full delivery cycle, from Discovery through to Deployment, particularly for large enterprise clients.
A deep understanding of Banking products and services, coupled with in-depth familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the banking sector, is crucial.
Proven experience in integrating new technologies and systems within a banking environment, alongside a passion for digital technology and product development, will be essential.
Certification in Agile methodologies or other relevant project management certifications is highly desirable.
Success in the Role: Performance Outcomes in your first 6-12 months (The What) Within your first 6-12 months, success will be defined by your ability to lead and deliver transformative digital projects within the Banking and Mobile Banking sectors, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to scope.
You will effectively drive the definition of project objectives, create robust action plans, and establish clear progress monitoring mechanisms.
A key outcome will be your contribution to establishing and coaching Agile teams, successfully scaling Agile delivery across multiple teams.
Additionally, you will actively support the growth and development of our teams, helping them achieve their career goals, and significantly contribute to the development of compelling client proposals.
What type of work will I be doing?
(The How)
Your work will primarily involve leading and overseeing client engagements, ensuring the successful delivery of digital projects and programmes, typically utilising Agile methodologies.
This will include: Leading Project Delivery & Client Engagement (40%): Guiding transformative digital projects, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring exceptional client service.
Strategic Planning & Execution (25%): Defining project objectives, creating action plans, monitoring progress, and devising solutions to complex problems.
Agile Leadership & Coaching (20%): Establishing and coaching Agile teams, scaling Agile delivery, and embedding best practices.
Team Development & Mentorship (10%): Supporting the growth and development of our teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Business Development (5%): Leading and contributing to the development of client proposals and staying abreast of market trends and evolving customer needs in banking.
Where is this role based?
This role is based in Dublin.
Deloitte operates a hybrid working model, blending office-based collaboration with remote work flexibility.
You may also be required to work at client sites as project needs dictate.
