(i) Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP) Care of the Older Adult (ID)

(ii) Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (cANP) Care of the Older Adult (ID)
Horizons is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Care of the Older Adult).
The overall purpose of the post is to provide safe, timely, evidence-based nurse-led care to service-users at an advanced nursing level. This involves undertaking and documenting a complete episode of service-users care (assess, diagnose, plan, treat, and discharge service-users) according to collaboratively agreed protocols and scope of practice in the clinical setting; demonstrating advanced clinical and theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, clinical leadership, and decision-making skills.
Minimum Requirements

2. The following criteria apply for registration as an ANP/AMP with NMBI:
3. You must:
1. Be a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or be eligible to be so registered.
2. Be registered in the Prescribers Division. The cANP (Pathway 2) applicant will need to complete the Nurse Prescribing of Medicinal Products Certificate.
3. Have a minimum of 5 years’ post registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 5 years’ full-time experience in the division of Intellectual Disability (Other Nursing disciplines with a minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience working in the area of intellectual disability may apply)
4. Have at least three years of recent post-registration clinical experience, with one year of equivalent full-time experience in the specific area of practice.
5. Hold a Master’s degree (or higher) in nursing/midwifery or relevant field, at Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications (Quality & Qualifications Ireland), or equivalent.
6. Demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to Care of the Older Adult (ID).
7. Be able to practice safely and effectively within their scope of practice.
