Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced grounds management professional to lead the care and development of beautiful gardens, grounds, and woodlands.
The Role:
* Responsibility for the maintenance and presentation of extensive private grounds, including formal gardens, fencing, hedges, tree felling, lawns, woodlands, and open spaces
* Lead and manage a team of 6 garden staff, overseeing their daily duties and ensuring effective collaboration
* Coordinate the overall maintenance of the grounds, encompassing multiple areas and assets
* Liaise with external contractors as necessary to ensure seamless operations
* Purchase and maintain garden machinery and supplies, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
Key Qualifications:
* Proven experience in estate, gardens or grounds management, with a strong track record of success
* Amenity Horticulture qualification or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in horticultural practices
* Hands-on knowledge of horticulture and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
* Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively across multiple areas
