Role: Mechanical Fitter Location: North Dublin Salary: Excellent package on offer Role Requirements: Install, align, and commission mechanical systems, machinery, and production equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly Carry out fitting, welding, and fabrication tasks as required. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Diagnose faults, dismantle defective machinery, and replace or repair components. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and optimise performance. Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all machinery is operating efficiently and safely in line with production needs. Comply with company safety policies and Health & Safety Authority (HSA) regulations. Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly. Complete maintenance logs, service reports, and job sheets accurately Support the maintenance planning team with information on work carried out and required spare parts. Candidate Requirements: National Craft Certificate (Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter) or equivalent recognised qualification (e.g., QQI Level 6). Minimum 3 years experience in a similar mechanical maintenance or fitting role. Work effectively with colleagues and clients, communicate clearly, and maintain a dependable, safety-conscious work ethic. Diagnoses mechanical issues efficiently, applies analytical thinking to repairs, and ensures precision and quality in all fitting and maintenance tasks.
