The Junior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and project teams to support the financial aspects of construction projects. This role involves assisting in cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, and contract management. The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the field of quantity surveying.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for projects.
* Support the evaluation and procurement of materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
* Work with project teams to monitor ongoing costs and budget adherence.
* Conduct on-site measurements and valuations to assess project progress.
* Help maintain accurate records of project costs, changes, and contract variations.
* Prepare reports on project profitability and financial performance.
* Assist in risk assessments related to project finances and manage contingency funds.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
