This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing, busy, talented and hardworking team within our outsourced payroll department.We are currently seeking applications from suitable candidates to join the EY's Tax practice at Senior level.
Key Responsibilities
Processing payroll of varying complexity across fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual frequencies for an existing portfolio of clients
Reconciling payrolls on a periodic basis
Assisting in ensuring payroll returns are complete, accurate an submitted on time
Preparing specialised payroll reports and journals
Producing ad hoc calculations for explanation purposes
Dealing with payroll related queries
Work closely with clients to ensure that a high service level and relationship is maintained
Adhere to strong internal controls to ensure best practice
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years prior experience of processing Irish payroll
Experience of Quantum/QPOSS payroll software
An understanding of Irish payroll in line with the current legislation
Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
Aptitude and interest in learning new skills
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong technical and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure meet strict deadlines
Ability to analyse problems, design and implement solutions independently
Highly team oriented approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and the ability to prioritise a number of conflicting demands to meet exacting deadlines.
Good communication skills and confidence in handling queries
Positive attitude and enjoys working within a team environment, with an ability to work independently also
Discretion dealing with confidential information
