Role Overview:
The Application Support Engineer will join a global technology team responsible for supporting and enhancing the firm's proprietary investment and operations systems. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders across trading, operations, and risk functions to ensure seamless system performance and reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting critical applications while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the broader technology roadmap.

YOU MUST HAVE TRADING SYSTEMS SUPPORT EXP FOR THIS ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the first point of contact for application-related issues, collaborating with end-users to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems efficiently.
* Provide hands-on support for trade order management and reconciliation systems.
* Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform timely troubleshooting.
* Manage the setup and maintenance of various application environments.
* Administer and maintain secure SFTP connections, including IP whitelisting and SSH key management.
* Support QA processes by validating development changes before production release.
* Contribute to internal documentation and provide training to end-users.
* Collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. 5+ years of application support experience within financial services.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3. Advanced SQL proficiency, including optimization, debugging, and schema design (joins, procedures, triggers, CTEs).
4. Strong understanding of financial products including fixed income, equities, options, and FX.
5. Experience with SFTP setup and maintenance, IP whitelist management, SSH keys, and PGP encryption/decryption.
6. Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., ActiveBatch, Tidal).
7. Proven experience supporting front-office trading and back-office operations systems.
8. Experience debugging ETL workflows and familiarity with .NET environments.
9. Scripting experience with Python or similar languages.
10. Excellent communication skills and ability to support a diverse user base.
11. Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams across regions.
