Fashion Department Manager – Galway
Our client is looking for a Department Manager to lead and inspire a dynamic fashion team. This role involves overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring the department delivers an exceptional, trend-focused shopping experience. You'll play a key role in merchandising, stock management, and creating a stylish, engaging environment that reflects the latest fashion trends.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the sourcing and buying of womenswear collections to ensure a fresh, on-trend offering.
2. Support the day-to-day management of the womenswear Department, driving smooth operations.
3. Oversee merchandising and in-store displays, working closely with the Store Manager to create an inspiring shopping environment.
4. Manage stock control and inventory to maintain optimal product availability.
5. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every shopper enjoys a personalized and engaging experience.
Skills & Experience:
6. Minimum of 4 years' experience in womenswear buying and department management.
7. Strong expertise in fashion development and sourcing, with the ability to spot trends and turn them into commercially viable, on-brand collections.
8. Proven track record in supporting the delivery of successful fashion ranges and achieving sales targets.
9. Excellent product knowledge across womenswear.
10. Commercially minded, with a creative flair and a genuine passion for fashion.
11. Sharp eye for detail combined with strong commercial acumen.
12. Proficient in MS Office and retail management systems.
13. Willingness to travel as required.
14. Managing a team of around 4-5 people
