Procurement Expert
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with business objectives. They will monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and inform procurement decisions to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategy Development: Assist in creating and executing procurement strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
* Market Insight: Stay up-to-date on industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions.
* Product Management: Manage product ranges to ensure a diverse and innovative assortment that meets customer needs.
* Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee internal procurement processes, including sales history, forecasting demand, purchase requisitions, stock purchase orders, and stock transfers.
* Inventory Control: Optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
* Cost Efficiency: Negotiate terms and conditions, prices, and bid evaluations to ensure optimal product cost.
* Performance Measurement: Utilize data-driven insights to track portfolio performance against targets and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field.
* Strong commercial acumen and proven experience (+3 years) in wholesale or retail industries, preferably in the Irish market.
* Experience in negotiation, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
* Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with purchasing platforms and ERP systems.
