Operations Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day freight operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate with logistics, customs clearance, and transport teams.
* Lead and manage a team of operators to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
* Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
* Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures, including road transport laws and safety regulations.
* Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to optimize transport operations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in freight forwarding and road freight operations, with a focus on import and export activities.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative, with high attention to detail and time management.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills, with an ability to multitask.
* Positive and proactive participation and active collaboration with all stakeholders.
* A minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience.
