Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role: This is a challenging opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience who can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, supporting both salaried and hourly-paid employees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process payrolls for salaried staff and temporary agency workers (weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly).
* Handle timesheet and clock card submissions, including adjustments for overtime, bonuses, shift allowances, and other variables.
* Manage payroll administration for temporary employees joining and leaving the business.
* Process payroll deductions.
* E nsure full compliance with statutory obligations.
* Respond to employee and client payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
* Perform benefit-in-kind (BIK) calculations and processing.
* Calculate and report on annual leave.
* Submit payroll files through online banking platforms.
* Provide payroll support to Consultants and Managers across the business.
* Draft and issue employment contracts for temporary agency workers.
Requirements:
* A payroll qualification (e.g., IPASS) or a relevant accounting qualification.
* A minimum of 2 years' payroll experience, ideally in a busy or high-volume environment.
* Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required).
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* A team player who can prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage a varied workload.
