Overview:
We are excited to announce an opening for
2 x Maintenance
Technician
(Shift)
with our client, a Global - Medical Device organisation in Athlone. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, cutting-edge company that offers a rewarding career with an attractive benefits package.
The role will initially be day shifts and will move to a 4 cycle shift in March of 2026. Willingness to work across days and night is important.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform timely repair and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment breakdowns.
* Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines to minimize downtime.
* Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation for all maintenance activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets.
* Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
* Support and lead assigned actions for Engineering projects within the maintenance team.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar technical role within the Medical Device or a highly regulated industry.
* Education:
Candidates should hold a Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Level 6 craft certification in Electrical or Mechanical fields is also accepted.
* Technical Skills:
Solid experience with mechanical systems in an automated manufacturing setting is essential.
* Specialized Knowledge:
Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Team Player
: A collaborative approach with the ability to work well within a team.
