Main Responsibilities
DC Infrastructure Technical Design & Engineering: Support the design and integration of DC power systems, focusing on power POD, UPS units, and battery storage configurations.
Installation Monitoring & Quality Control (on Site Support): Regularly monitor on-site installation activities to ensure the project remains on schedule and aligns with the issued-for-construction (IFC) drawings.
Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship meets both company standards and client specifications.
Defect Management: Identify installation non-conformities or snags, document them in site reports, and track their resolution with the electrical contractors.
Project Documentation & Compliance
Technical Submittals: Assist in reviewing and organizing technical submittals, O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals, and "As-Built" documentation.
RFI Management: Help process Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors to resolve technical queries during the installation phase.
Reporting: Prepare weekly or monthly progress reports for the Senior Engineer, highlighting key milestones and any quality risks.
Testing & Commissioning
Handover Support: Assist in witnessing and documenting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for DC switchgear and power systems.
Functional Verification: Support the final commissioning team to ensure that the DC infrastructure operates safely and efficiently before handover.
Requirements
Electrical engineering major, Bachelor degree or above.
Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin or Irish are an advantage.
Good knowledge of electrical theory, understand electrical system.
Computer literate in basic Microsoft office packages/Auto CAD/Google Earth, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with partners and internal with people from different countries & cultures.
Eligibility to work and live in Dublin, Ireland.
