Job Description

We are seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our HR Team and report directly to the HR Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of HR and EH&S responsibilities, including drafting policies, processes, and guidelines in line with Irish legislation. You will also be responsible for conducting administrative and strategic tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a right-hand person to the HR Manager, leading and managing HR/EH&S functions within the HR department.
2. Build strong relationships with business leaders and managers, collaborating with them to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
3. Coach managers and leaders to manage & develop their teams and handle HR/EH&S issues appropriately and effectively.
4. Partner with leaders and managers to ensure effective Performance Management/Probation processes are followed through effective goal setting for each department and individual based on strategic business goals.
5. Work closely with leaders and managers to align HR and EH&S strategies and initiatives with the organization's overall business objectives and goals.
6. Facilitate programs that enhance employee engagement and well-being.
7. Act as a consultant on all employee relations matters, reviewing challenges, creating a plan for resolution, and ensuring the plan is followed through to completion.
8. Keep up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements to direct the creation, interpretation, and application of HR policies throughout the facility.
9. Maintain policies and ensure people managers are following HR policies for example with Time & Attendance Management, Performance/Probation Management.
10. Proactively research, evaluate new trends, propose and implement best practices in HR and EH&S to enhance organizational effectiveness.
11. Oversee the payroll and benefits administration for Castlebar in conjunction with the HR team. Support with the compensation/merit review process for Castlebar.
12. Regularly review employee benefits to ensure we remain competitive.
13. Work with the HR Team to ensure HR Data is accurate and up to date on all relevant HR systems (Currently Paylocity & Softworks) in line with GDPR.
14. Assist with GDPR activities, including policies and training, and ensure HR data is managed within the requirements of the HR Department, GDPR & Data Protection legislation.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* BSc in Human Resources and/or Employment Law qualification or a relevant discipline.
* 3-5 years' experience within a HR Strategic/Leadership role, ideally within a multinational progressive organization with a proven reputation for working in a demanding and competitive environment.
* A thorough knowledge of Employment Law, practices and their application, with a proven track record in dealing with employee relations issues.
* Experience in EH&S is an advantageous but not an essential.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders.
* Strong team player with the ability to engage and influence.
* Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Strong IT proficiency and administrative skills.
