Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
Your duties will include:
1. To assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
2. Co-ordinate and execute training of Commi Chefs and Apprentices.
3. Maintain a safe, hygienic and healthy working environment.
4. Cook any food required on a daily basis according to business needs for all food outlets.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the Kitchen.
* Co-ordinate and execute training of Commi Chefs and Apprentices.
* Ensure a safe, hygienic and healthy working environment.
* Cook any food required on a daily basis according to business needs.
* Maintain good employee relations. Ensure proper portion control, taste and quality as per standard recipes.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all areas of the kitchen.
* Accidents and sickness must be reported to the Head Chef / Sous Chef as per company policy.
* Coordinate together with the Head Chef / Sous Chef, training sessions with Commi Chefs and Apprentices in the kitchen operation.
* Constantly liaise with all food & beverage departments to ensure guest requests are met or suitable alternatives suggested instead.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record as a Chef de Partie with five years working experience, who can demonstrate the ability to successfully operate in a guest focused manner;
always striving to exceed guest expectations thereby building customer brand and loyalty. We value staff who can motivate others and have excellent communication skills.
