Together with the Operations Manager, proactively monitor the programme progress, resolve issues as they arise and initiate corrective action where required.Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme. Focusing inwardly on the project team available to deliver a realistic programme and outwardly on the availability of infrastructure planning, interfaces with third-party programmes, client awards & budget constraints and together with material procurement.Assist the Commercial Manager and GIS Team to manage the programme's budget on behalf of the Project Director, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses.Identify gaps in the project team and facilitating the appointment of individuals where required.Ensuring the delivery of the project on behalf of the client, to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan.Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects.Managing third party contributions to the programme. Update risk register where third-party programmes impact on the project.Managing communications with stakeholders. Provide weekly (or as required) updates on the programme to the client, highlighting the risks and proposed mitigation of same.Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between various projects within the department.Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome.Working with the Project Director and Operations Manager to monitor the need for transition between project awards to ensure continuity of work for the project team.Identify solutions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise.Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the project team.Ensuring the project team maintain focus, enthusiasm and momentum to deliver projects for our clients.Creating and managing long-term goals for the department.Develop an understanding of the diverse array of talents and responsibilities that is required to deliver the project.
