Clancy Construction is seeking an experienced Clerks of Works / Quality Inspector to oversee quality management across a variety of construction projects.
Location This is a Site based role in the Dublin area.
Reporting to Quality Manager Role Overview The role will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with company standards, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to embed a strong quality culture across the Clancy organisation.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the implementation and management of company-wide construction quality management systems.
Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures aligned with company and industry standards.
Lead quality inspections, audits, and compliance across multiple project sites.
Provide guidance and support to project teams on quality-related matters.
Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
Manage defect prevention, reporting, and corrective action processes.
Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality issues.
Support project teams during commissioning, handover, and client inspections.
Provide mentoring and training to site teams on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Alternatively, significant experience from a construction Trade background with proven quality management experience.
Experience Minimum 8-10 years' experience in the construction sector, with significant experience in quality management or inspection roles.
Experience working on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Proven experience implementing and managing QA/QC systems within construction projects.
Knowledge & Skills Excellent knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and construction standards.
Strong understanding of modern construction methods and building systems.
Experience with quality management systems and site quality procedures.
Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent reporting, documentation, and audit management skills.
