Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in an acute Hospital setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Staff grade role to work across a range of general medical / surgical wards, providing comprehensive Speech Therapy services to patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
You will be joining a supportive environment for newly qualified staff grades and with opportunities for professional development particularly for experienced staff grades looking to progress clinical skills.

Main Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Treatment: Assess, diagnose, and treat adult patients with complex speech difficulties.
* Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to develop individualized care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Patient Education: Provide education and training to patients, their families, and staff to support communication rehabilitation.
* Record Keeping: Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to hospital policies and relevant legislation.
* Team Participation: Participate in regular team meetings, supervision, and continued professional development.
Requirements:
* A recognized qualification in Speech Therapy (BSc/MSc).
* Registration with the relevant Association and CORU.
* Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience in a similar setting, ideally within an acute hospital environment.
* Proven experience working with patients with complex medical conditions, including dysphagia and neurological disorders.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
