* Professional accreditation from the Irish Planning Institute and/or the Royal Town Planning Institute.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in the planning and development sector.
* Strong understanding of Irish planning processes, including planning applications, development management, and EIAR.
* Experience collaborating with design teams on planning applications, appeals, site feasibility studies, and planning strategies.
* Background in Strategic/Forward Planning, including preparing planning policy documents, strategies, and land use plans for urban and rural areas.
* Experience in conducting public and stakeholder engagement activities.
Your Responsibilities:

* Contribute to and lead a portfolio of planning and development projects.
* Manage relationships with existing clients proactively and positively.
* Plan and manage your work effectively, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Support and mentor junior team members.
* Prepare and coordinate planning applications, appeals, reports, feasibility studies, and EIAR (non-specialist chapters).
* Provide planning advice on policies and regulations.
* Develop planning policy documents, strategies, and land use plans for urban and rural areas.
* Conduct research into emerging spatial planning concepts and methodologies.
* Assist with public and stakeholder consultation activities.
* Contribute innovative ideas and best practices to create new opportunities.
* Undertake additional duties as needed.
