Our client, a growing multinational manufacturer in Longford is looking to hire an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations, ensuring efficient workflows, consistent performance, and effective problem-solving.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Production Manager who likes a hands-on role, it will suit someone with a proven track record in managing production operations, driving performance improvements, and building collaborative teams in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize and manage IQMS software (training provided if required).
2. Enforce safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
3. Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are consistently met.
4. Manage labor allocation and approve workforce planning.
5. Understand product requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.
6. Set performance targets, monitor plant metrics, and report progress.
7. Develop strategies to minimize scrap and improve yields.
8. Define responsibilities for direct reports and ensure accountability.
9. Review and approve performance evaluations for team members.
10. Investigate and address workplace incidents and accident reports.
11. Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance systems
12. Track and validate accuracy of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories.
13. Apply fair and consistent HR practices while upholding company policies.
14. Drive adherence to ISO 13485, ISO 14001, GMP, and other quality and regulatory standards.
15. Lead initiatives for technical and operational improvements.
16. Oversee production facility performance, ensuring resources and staffing are optimized.
17. Monitor key production metrics (downtime, waste, non-conformance) and implement solutions.
18. Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and audit readiness.
19. Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
20. Manage, develop, and coach direct reports, ensuring alignment with performance management processes.
Requirements:
21. Minimum of 5 years as a Production Manager or equivalent role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
22. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
23. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. Proven experience in analyzing performance data and turning insights into actionable strategies. Ability to collaborate across all levels of the business.
24. Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. A continuous improvement mindset with solid knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
