Our Clare based client are a currently recruiting a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join their team Excellent opportunity to join a thriving company in Co. Clare. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust preventative maintenance programme for the Company and will play a critical part in supporting plant operations by ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance across all facility functions. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes for plant services and equipment. Maintain the plant register of equipment and ensure all insurance certificates are up to date. Respond to and resolve breakdown maintenance issues promptly and effectively. Manage stock levels of spare parts and critical equipment. Provide continuous input to enhance productivity and safety from a maintenance perspective. Support and contribute to energy conservation and sustainability initiatives. Coordinate contractor programmes and liaise with service providers to ensure works are delivered on time and within budget. Oversee and inspect building and renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Lead or support the planning and implementation of capital projects, offering technical and project management expertise. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process equipment and machinery efficiency. Develop contingency plans to minimise disruption in the event of emergencies. Key Requirements: Minimum 7 years experience in facilities/maintenance within a production environment. Trades qualified electrician or mechanical fitter. Technical expertise in maintaining production facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and heating systems. Experience managing contractors and critical service providers. Strong understanding of ISO standards and quality systems, especially in a chemical manufacturing setting (desirable). In-depth knowledge of statutory health and safety regulations in a production environment. Excellent risk management skills and awareness. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Impeccable project management, time management, and organisational abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure with a high degree of motivation and flexibility.
