As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland's most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance IT Product Owner, Corporate Functions IT.
Role Purpose
As an IT Product Owner, you are an innovator, a problem solver, a questioner, a listener, and someone who understands that both stability and progress are key.
You work closely with your stakeholders and vendors to deliver and drive best-in-class customer experiences.
You know what others are doing outside our business, and you bring ideas to the table of stakeholders as well as your team, and you mentor your team to deliver these solutions through 3rd parties.
We are looking for you to join the wider Corporate Functions IT team, where we deliver and manage all the systems and applications that are used in Finance and HR across all brands.
With the vast systems estate and our never-ending ambition to deliver value for our corporate colleagues, we are always spinning up new projects and delivering at a high pace.
We have a broad group of stakeholders with whom we work closely to ensure we deliver value and prioritise correctly.
Responsibilities
Your activities in this role will include the following:
Managing a team of Business Analysts/Technical Analysts
Vendor management and contract negotiation
Identification of vendors and delivery partners
Service delivery and QA
Working closely with stakeholders to decide and prioritise projects and activities, including innovation
Roadmap of product(s) including upgrades and patching
Budget planning and tracking
Delivery of projects
Ensuring all designs conform to the Musgrave Enterprise Architecture and are within the Solutions Architecture requirements
Ensuring handover of projects to BAU support/operations
Mentoring of team members
Managing the supply and demand (in collaboration with the Demand Analyst within the team)
Responsibility for the management of cost and timelines for delivery
We want you to take an active role in all the above, working closely with Musgrave Colleagues and 3rd party Delivery and operations teams.
We are looking for someone who is keen to constantly adjust and improve how we do things.
What we are looking for
Innovation and roadmap experience
Previous budget responsibility and participation in the budget planning process
Min 5 years experience in BA and/or product ownership
Min 5 years experience in IT Project Management / Programme Delivery
Strong analytical skills
Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, specification, verification, and the ability to apply them in practice
Strong experience partnering with third-party vendors and working hybrid teams
Team and collaboration orientation
A strong understanding of software development lifecycle, quality assurance, and information security
A history of successfully delivering products into the market
