Offer Description
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Computer Science.
This project is funded by SFI research centre CONNECT and aims to develop innovative strategies for managing conflicts between multiple xApps in Open Radio Access Networks (Open-RAN). Open-RAN represents a significant shift from single-vendor to multi-vendor deployments, allowing for more competition and integration of AI/ML functionalities. However, this approach creates challenges, such as conflicting network parameter changes by independently operating xApps. The project focuses on creating a comprehensive framework using game theory and AI/ML-based prediction models to proactively detect and resolve both direct and indirect conflicts between xApps, enhancing network performance and reliability
