Merchandising Professional
This is a permanent role working nationally to increase our clients' Agri brand and product presence in their customers' stores. The merchandiser will ensure that the correct mix of products is stocked and displayed to achieve greater sales and maximize profits for both the client and customers.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintaining optimal product visibility and availability at trade stores nationwide.
* Ensuring compliance with agreed in-store planograms to showcase products and accessories effectively.
* Managing stock levels and optimizing display locations to maximize customer engagement.
* Monitoring product cleanliness and presentation standards.
* Planning and executing store visits to optimize time allocation and logging activities in our CRM system.
* Demonstrating products appropriately and strategically in prime store locations to boost sales.
* Supporting sales teams by attending open days and shows as required.
* Evaluating the impact of merchandising initiatives on each store's performance.
* Negotiating with store staff to secure prime in-store positions and generate additional space for brands through effective signage, clear pricing, and branding.
* Staying informed about competitors and adjusting merchandising strategies accordingly.
* Ensuring best-selling products reach their full potential visually in-store.
Requirements:
* At least 1-2 years of experience in merchandising.
* A proven track record of meeting or exceeding merchandising Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Prior knowledge of the agricultural sector is advantageous.
* The ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnight stays.
* A valid full driving license; a trailer license is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent customer focus, business acumen, and attention to detail.
* Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the latest merchandising trends and best practices.
* Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
* Familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and decision-making abilities.
