Senior Quantity Surveyor – Procurement (Construction)
Location - Dublin

Salary - (€75k - €90k)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a newly established Procurement Function within a dynamic and fast-growing construction environment. This is a strategic role with the opportunity to shape procurement frameworks and practices across a major development portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Procurement, your responsibilities will include:

Identifying and leading improvements in procurement processes and documentation.
*
Contributing to the design and execution of a digital procurement strategy.
*
Developing category plans for key subcontract packages to manage risk and enhance supply chain performance.
*
Building and maintaining relationships with key supply chain partners to drive strategic value.
*
Leading the creation and standardisation of Bills of Quantities and procurement documents for use across multiple projects.
*
Reviewing subcontract packages to ensure compliance with project scope and standardisation objectives.
*
Managing tender analysis and pricing benchmarks for high-value contracts, including negotiation and reporting.
*
Tracking industry trends and overseeing inflation data as part of long-term planning.
*
Championing sustainable procurement initiatives.
*
Collaborating with Project Managers, Technical, and Cost teams to align procurement with project timelines and delivery goals.
*
Supporting innovation by evaluating emerging products, methods, and technologies.
*
Assisting with procurement data analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
*
7–10+ years of post-graduate experience in a PQS or contractor's office.
*
Background in residential or house building projects (desirable).
*
Strong technical understanding of modern methods of construction (MMC).
*
Proven ability to manage complex procurement initiatives and meet demanding time/quality goals.
*
Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Cubit, CostX or similar tools.
*
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
*
High attention to detail with strong organisational and coordination abilities.
*
A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
*
Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholder groups.
